While Pokémon Go & Nintendo might not be as popular as they used to be, The game is still classed as one of the best in the market. The Pokémon Go 7 year anniversary is just around the corner and players are expected to flood back in to get a piece of the action.
The Pokémon Go player base isn’t the most active right now as a large percentage of players are against Niantic and their implementations. According to the Pokémon Go subreddit, the game is going through a mundane phase and many players are tired of the developers messing with the game’s updates. When Is The Pokémon Go 7 Year Anniversary Event Launching?
The Official Pokémon Go website states that the Event will launch on the 6th of July and will last till the 12th of July. As with all the other previous events, the anniversary will last a week starting from 8 a.m going on till 10 p.m.
What Are The Activities That Will Be Held During The Event?
As always there will be unique event themed Pokémon available for players to capture around the world. For the Pokémon Go 7 year anniversary, the featured Pokémon will be Wartortle and Blastoise who will be wearing party hats. In order for players to obtain these Pokemon, they will have to capture a sufficient number of Squirtle’s that are wearing party hats to evolve them later on.
Since Squirtle is naturally a rare Pokémon considering he is a starter, we believe this event is awesome for both collectors and battle maniacs alike. A Blastoise with good IV’s and EV’s are definitely going to be a valuable addition to one’s roster. The beefy Pokémon is known for its proficiency in both PVE and PVP. Not to mention it’s one of the few Pokémon’s that have a Mega Evolution.
Starting from the 6th of July, Pokémon Go will feature starter Pokémon from each generation as a daily event. These Pokémon will appear all throughout the world, allowing players to catch them and stock up on their valuable candy! There will also be generation one Pokémon as bosses allowing players to encounter the four legendary birds.
In addition to the party themed Squirtle, Costumed Pikachu’s will also be appearing in the wild. According to the official source, there is an increased chance for players to encounter shiny variants of the event themed Pokémon. So, if you are a collector, you better get your running shoes out as it’s going to be a long yet awesome week!
