The recent Monster Hunter video case held by Capcom revealed a ton of information to its fans. The event was held online yesterday for viewers to enjoy and was streamed through their Youtube channel. If you missed it, here is a summary of what went down yesterday!

The game featured in yesterday’s showcase was Capcom’s upcoming mobile title named Monster Hunter Now. They first announced a Monster Hunter title in April of 2023, and the community has been buzzing in excitement for more news about it. Both Capcom and Niantic, the developers behind the title, have been extremely secretive about the game, hyping it up for their fanbase. This proved to be an effective tactic as the online showcase had over 30000 viewers.

The 30-minute online showcase featured active members from the development team and the producers behind Monster Hunter Now. As we expected, the event revealed information on the gameplay and specialized features present in the game.

What was revealed through the Monster Hunter Now event?

If you are familiar with Iceborne, a Monster Hunter title released in 2018, then we have some exciting news for you! Monster Hunter Now will feature 13 monsters from the game, allowing players to battle against them. These 13 monsters will feature the ever-popular Rathalos, Diablos, and Great Jagras.

The game will allow players to wield a wide variety of weapons. We aren’t exactly sure about the complete list as the developers haven’t released extensive information regarding it. But, so far we do know that the game will have Long Sword, Great Sword, Sword and Shield, and the Light Bowgun.

As you do know by now, the game is being developed by Niantic as an AR title similar to Pokemon GO. It’s meant to be played outside with friends and therefore consists of a single narrative filled with simple quests for players to complete.

If you have played Pokemon Go and you live in a rural area, you might have encountered a problem with low activity, especially during the anniversary event. It seems that the development phase took more than anticipated as the developers were attempting to fix a similar issue in Monster Hunter Now. But, according to developers, it seems that there were successful, as they stated that anyone can play Monster Hunter Now regardless of their location.

That’s all we got regarding the upcoming Monster Hunter Now game. The game is set to release on the 14th of September as announced by Capcom. Hopefully, we’ll get more information on the game as the months go by.
