Finally, Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is coming to a PC or console near you. Activision announced the upcoming release on its CoD Modern Warfare 3 Twitter page much to the jubilation of its dedicated fanbase.
First released in 2011, Modern Warfare III is one of the best-selling FPS action series of all time, and the return of this epic sequel is exhilarating. In 2022, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest-selling game in the US.
In the fourth quarter, the game had the highest opening in franchise history with a net revenue of $1.85 billion. This was $694 million more than what the franchise made in 2021 during a similar period.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is currently in development by Sledgehammer Games, but it’s also supported by other Call of Duty Studios. Ready for a cinematic thrill ride that only CoD Modern Warfare 3 can offer?

What we know is that Modern Warfare 3 is set for release on November 10th 2023. Activision has yet to reveal the platforms but like previous CoD games, we expect CoD Modern Warfare III to come to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Xbox Series S.
Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay
Activision has yet to reveal in-depth details about Modern Warfare 3 gameplay, but what we speculate is that the series will pick up where CoD Modern Warfare II left. Basically, we expect the Las Almas map, the one found in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, to feature in Modern Warfare 3 gameplay, especially the Battle Royale map.
The map will be available during Season One which is set to launch this coming December 2023. Players will be plunged into a world that’s on the brink of collapse as a result of escalating global tensions. Developers are expected to interweave different perspectives to provide players with an exhilarating experience from different angles. This approach will surely showcase the magnitude of the conflict.
Some of the icons, such as the resourceful Soap MacTavish and Captain Price may make a comeback in the new game. As such, CoD Modern Warfare 3 is set to evoke genuine emotions from players as they witness the sacrifices and struggles that the characters will go through.
We expect that the twists and turns in the plot will keep players glued to their PCs and consoles for hours thanks to the breathtaking cinematic moments and visuals.
Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer

Modern Warfare 3 Co-op Action
Rumour has it that Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is a direct sequel to CoD MW 2. As such, players may encounter scenarios designed to play in co-op just like the 16 Spec-Ops missions in Modern Warfare 2. Also, players may get to experience survival-style missions against enemy waves.
Co-Op action will have its perks and unlocks. Additionally, this feature will also have its own leaderboards. In Modern Warfare 2, you could have up to three players at a time playing MW 2 Co-op.
We are still not sure if the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign will support Co-op play, but as we all know Modern Warfare 2 did not support Co-op play. However, we hope the developers can incorporate this feature in the upcoming release.
